Krystal Castillo (she/they) is a Dominican American

creative artist originally from Miami, Florida. They started dancing at the age of 10 after being in multiple theatre productions for the Miami Children’s Theater. Under the mentorship of Valia Gonzalez at the Miami Cuban Ballet School, they began to develop their technique and their appreciation for dance flourished. In 2016, they began being mentored by Tawanna Hall, owner of “Style Child Creations'' and “The Magic Box” in Hip-Hop. It was then that they realized they have a passion for

commercial dance styles.

In 2019, Krystal moved to New York City to regain their love for musical theatre and train in classic dance techniques. After receiving their Conservatory Certificate at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, they decided to fly across the country to Los Angeles to increase their knowledge in commercial dance. They received their BFA in Dance Theatre in June 2022. Since graduating they began performing with Lume Dance Collective. Working with artists from the likes of Monika Felice Smith, MaryAnn Chavez, Justin Conte and many others. Outside of dance and theatre, they are enthusiastic and enamored by filmmaking and editing. They have produced and edited over 10 short films and projects. For as long as their heart grows for performance and creation they will pursue it.   They are currently signed with Movement Talent Agency.
